Russia Carries Out Missile Strikes Against Turkish Ships In Kherson

There was a fire on one of them after an explosion.

Russia hit the Turkish ships Tuzla and Ferahnaz, which were docked at the port, in another bombardment of Kherson. The Tuzla caught fire after an explosion.

This was reported by the Turkish newspaper of Hurriyet.

It is worth noting that this is not the aftermath of the strike on Ukraine in the evening of 25 January. Video of the consequences of the hit on the Tuzla was published in the afternoon.

"The ships are standing side by side in the same port. Some of them are at the berth and some are at the anchorage," a Ferahnaz crew member said.

According to him, the strike was carried out on January 24.

The Tuzla and Ferahnaz dry cargo carriers have been stuck in the port and have been unable to leave it since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began. A total of 12 Turkish vessels are stuck in Kherson port because of the war. They are serviced by a minimal number of people. There were no fatalities or injuries in connection with this.

The information is also confirmed by Reuters with reference to the Ambrey shipping safety company.

According to Reuters, the Tuzla was hit by a Russian missile.

The Tuzla was one of the ships stuck in Ukrainian ports after Russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine.

A Reuters source in the industry said twelve Turkish ships not covered by the "grain agreement" were blocked in Ukrainian ports, particularly in Kherson.

"There was an attack last night, most likely on the port, and it looks like an explosive charge hit a vessel. The Turkish vessels in Kherson are staffed with minimal crew, so there are no injuries or casualties," the source said on condition of anonymity.
