Lithuania Strengthens Ukraine’s Air Defense With Two NASAMS Systems

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov on Friday, November 11, announced that the NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems transferred by Lithuania are already on combat duty.
This is said in a statement from the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
Umerov thanked Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas, who is visiting Kyiv. The Ukrainian minister also told his colleague that the NASAMS air defense systems transferred to Ukraine by Lithuania are already on combat duty with the Ukrainian military.
“My colleague and I visited the control center of the Air Command division of the Air Force Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the minister said.
Umerov also invited Lithuanian defense companies to cooperate on the joint production of weapons and ammunition in Ukraine.
