The dictator linked the head of his government with the corrupt “dairy business.”
The “dairy business” is growing in Belarus. KGB head Ivan Tsiartsel said that 26 people were detained in Belarus. 15 were arrested. Among those detained are the management of Babushkina Krynka, including general director Henadz Skitau.
Lukashenka, at a government meeting, linked Prime Minister Raman Halouchanka with this corruption scheme.
According to the dictator’s statements, eight commercial groups established control on favorable terms over the export of products from a number of Belarusian milk processing enterprises to Russia.
“The information received showed that the implementation of the scheme could not be carried out without the participation of officials of enterprises and government agencies. Raman Aliaksandravich, you will also answer if your people appear there. Members of the government also manifested themselves there. I say, I’m not giving names yet, while the investigation is ongoing. Through bribery, individual businessmen received the right of priority distribution of dairy products — butter, cheeses, other dairy products — in their favor, as well as the opportunity to purchase products at a price below the established indicative,” Lukashenka hinted at Halouchanka’s possible involvement in corruption.
