Nothing Can Save Putin

The Kremlin is unable to control the chaos that it itself has created.

Russian society, which has been living with its head pressed into its shoulders for the last two years, has only had enough of these crazy conversations about banning abortions. I am increasingly convinced that nothing can save this government. They will collapse, surprised, due to their own incompetence.

The lack of control has reached such proportions that the Kremlin cannot even choose a normal topic to distract public attention while the front is frozen without movement.

Think about it, four months before the elections, which obviously should take place as calmly and as controlled as possible, at the instigation of the Center, aggressive rhetoric about banning abortions is being thrown into the talking heads of officials.

The authorities are giving the green light to a topic that will objectively make millions of Russian women worry, get nervous and look at the current regime as a blood enemy who is trying to take control of their personal lives. You have to come up with such a trick that instantly increases tension in society. Another brilliant multi-move, nothing less.

Although, perhaps, no one intended to take everything to such an extreme when Patriarch Kirill turns to the State Duma with a request to ban abortions in private clinics. They either do not realize the real extent of popular support, or they are truly no longer able to control the chaos that they themselves have unleashed.
