GUR Makes Important Statement On Liquidation Of Russian Generals By Shaman Battalion

Ukrainian intelligence has decided not to disclose the details of the new task of the Shaman special battalion to eliminate Russian officers. Nor do they comment on the "raid" on the occupied left bank of the Kherson region. RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine Andrei Yusov on the air of the telethon.

"We will observe the details by reading the obituaries of Russian generals, and not only them. And the fact that the special units of the GUR of the Ministry of Defence work effectively and not only on the front line, but also in the rear, this is not news," he said.

Yusov noted that this is also well known and understood by the Russians.

"They know that retaliation is inevitable and can find them wherever they are. And so it should be," the spokesman added.

Yusov also noted that the number of suicides among the occupiers and Russian officers "has increased and grown significantly" after the full-scale invasion. At the same time, "some of them may be related to such fears".

Yusov advised Russian officers that the best way out was to surrender, reminding them that there was a project called I Want to Live.

Earlier, The Times wrote about the new mission of the Shaman special battalion. The journalists claimed to have spoken to two members of the battalion who described the new task of eliminating Russian officers without giving any details.

Who is recruited for the Shaman battalion

According to Yusov, people who are ready to destroy the enemy, protect the country and have the ability and desire to learn are accepted.

"Since the first days of the full-scale invasion, people without any profound military training have joined them. But during this time they prepared themselves, as in other special units of the GUR. People with a high level of motivation and training. We see the results at different stages," he said.

Shaman raid in the occupied part of the Kherson region

Yusov refused to comment on the "march" of the Shaman battalion into the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.

"There are extremely tough battles in the direction of Kherson; we are conducting both offensive and defensive operations. We do not comment on these events. But believe me, operations are being conducted there. The enemy is being destroyed and its losses in terms of forces and means are great," he noted.

Earlier, the GUR reported that the fighters of the Shaman battalion managed to destroy a rocket unit of the occupiers on the captured part of the Kherson region. Later, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence denied the information about the "raid".
