Russian Front Crumbles Near Urozhaine: Ukrainian Troops Use Unique Tactics

The troops of the Russian Federation will soon have nothing to stop the counteroffensive.

The Ukrainian counteroffensive has been going on for two months, but they still did not break through the Southern Front.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are quite capable of making a hole in the Russian defences, but they do not do it deliberately.

Russian journalist and historian Yulia Latynina expressed this opinion on YouTube.

She is sure that only a naive can consider the Ukrainian counteroffensive to be stalled.

In fact, Ukrainian forces are successfully fulfilling their task at this stage, and it’s not the breakthrough of the front.

“Everything that we saw for two months looked for neglectful persons like the unsuccessful Russian winter offensive when a huge number of the Wagnerites were killed near Bakhmut, and they were fighting for each 'barn wall' and clearly without any perspective of further advance... Despite all the bloodiness of the current developments at the front, despite the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, (...) this completely differs from what is happening near Bakhmut... Because the goal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not to make a small hole in Russian defence... It's just that if you break into such a hole and the enemy has fresh reserves, then (...) it's not you who break through the front, but you find yourself in a bag... Ukrainian forces were weakening the enemy forces... It's a war of attrition," the Russian journalist said.

She drew attention to the fact that Russia has had huge losses in artillery due to the high efficiency of Ukrainian counter-battery combat over the past two months.

This is one of the key tasks of the counteroffensive. Heavy losses among the Russian war machinery and manpower - they are superior to the Ukrainian ones, despite the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are advancing, and the Russian Federation is on the defensive.

“This is the only possible tactic of depleting Russian forces: soldiers and artillery. Quite a risky tactic, because Putin always has the option to mobilize new soldiers. The bet, apparently, is that he will be afraid to do it again because his ratings will immediately fall,” the Russian journalist said.

She clarified that even now the Russian front is crumbling near Urozhaine. Ukrainian forces are not in a hurry to break it. When they start to break through, the Russian Armed Forces will have nothing to stop the counteroffensive.

“The idea is to achieve total frontline collapse,” Latynina said.
