Laughing While Flying, After Landing — Crying

Apparently, the Russian propaganda is unfamiliar with the old folk wisdom about not counting chickens before they hatch.

Before

On August 15, the Tsargrad TV channel was enthusiastic: “The Russian sensational project Luna-25 was able to scare Germany, ... the United States and break Ukraine, which has acquired another phobia. The Russians, on the other hand, view the new lunar program as a triumphant return to the once lost status of the biggest conquerors of space.

Skeptics received a rebuff from Tsargrad. In response to Deutsche Welle's doubts about the success of the mission, an arrogant voice sounded: “It will be interesting what the German propagandists will write when the Russian station, which today carried out the second correction of the flight trajectory to the natural satellite of the Earth, nevertheless lands on the moon.”

Writer Alexander Prokhanov spoke in the same spirit: “When there are battles in the Kupyansk direction, when Russian troops near Kherson repel ten attacks a day, when the firmament of the earth’s surface smokes and loosens with shells, we bring this civilization to the moon. This Annunciation launch is evidence of Russia's miraculous ability to rise from the dead.

At the Vostochny cosmodrome, through the roar of the starting engine, the teeth gnashing of NATO strategists was clearly heard ... The space rocket that took off from the eastern cosmodrome soared from Lake Svetloyar, churning its magical surface and, sparkling with domes, shining with golden crosses, in bell ringing and chanting flew away into the Russian sky — into the sky where the Russian Dream lives.

Sergei Markov, a member of the Russian Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, also lavished incense: “After a long break, since 1976, Russia has returned the Lunar Program. Russia is one of the leading countries of modern humanity, moving humanity forward ... Russia, China and the United States are the three great powers that are involved in space research.

After

The same Sergei Markov, after the Russian apparatus crashed, states the following:

“The consequences of the Moon 25 disaster are enormous. In the eyes of the world community, Russia has questioned the adequacy of its claims to be a great power now. That Russia was a great power in the past, no one argues. But is Russia a great power now?

Russia says yes. And sends troops to Ukraine and launches the Moon 25. And the US and the EU say no. Who is right?

There is no victory in Ukraine yet. And Luna 25 crashed.

Many will probably decide that Russia's claims both on the Moon and in Ukraine cannot be realized simply because Russia does not live in a modest present, but in fantasies of a great past.

Prokhanov simply cleaned up the post, removing the “gnashing of teeth of NATO strategists” (in vain, it could have simply been replaced with “Homeric laughter”) and the “Russian Dream” (apparently, it died). And Tsargrad now, despite the crash of the Luna-25, performs the hit “Everything is fine, beautiful marquise!”

Meanwhile, the Telegram channel “Razvedozor” seems sad:

“This is a powerful blow to the scientific and technical authority of Russia. And most importantly, in relations with China. Russia is China's junior partner in its lunar program and looks forward to joint projects.

If India manages to land the Chandrayan-3 with the Indian lunar rover in the same place on Wednesday, the unspoken status of the Russian Federation in the eyes of Beijing will drop sharply. How can one trust a partner with important parts of the lunar program when he is not able to achieve reliable performance of yet not at all complex tasks mastered 50 years ago? ..

Beijing is helping us with electronics in the special military operation. After the death of Luna-25, this is already considered as a heavy technological dependence, both in the West and in China.

Alexander Dugin suddenly became the main comforter:

“The fact that the Luna apparatus fell” is not yet fatal. On the verge of death, after all, is the Russian Land.

So, the main show is ahead.

Mikhail Broshyn, Solidarity
