Ukrainian Army Breaks Through 'Surovikin Line'

The "dragon's teeth" stopped the AFU only for 24 hours.

The Ukrainian army was able to break through the anti-tank "Surovikin line" in the Zaporizhzhia direction near the village of Verbove for the first time, The Moscow Times reports.

Successes in this direction are reported by the Ukrainian command and confirmed by Bild journalist Julian Repke.

The AFU General Staff reports successes in the Orikhiv direction: "We have had success in the directions Novodanilivka-Novoprokopivka and Mala Tokmachka-Verbove, we are entrenching at the obtained borders".

The German journalist writes with reference to geodata that the breakthrough of the "Surovikin line" took place at one of the sites, and the "dragon's teeth" could only stop the Ukrainian army for about a day.

Russia has been building multi-kilometre fortifications in Luhansk, Donetsk and Kherson regions, as well as in areas bordering Ukraine, since last year.

These fortifications are trenches with rows of concrete anti-tank piles - "dragon's teeth" - that were widely used during World War II to stop the advance of enemy vehicles and infantry.
