Zelensky: Ukraine Will Not Agree To Territorial Concessions To End The War

No one will give up land to the Russian Federation.

The Ukrainian authorities will not agree to territorial concessions to end the war. This statement was a target="_blank" href=https://www.unian.net/politics/voyna-v-ukraine-kiev-ne-soglasyatsya-na-territorialnye-ustupki-radi-okonchaniya-voyny-12659373.html>made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking to the National Assembly of France.

“Can Putin win the war? No, because we have no right to lose. Can this war end on the lines that exist now? No, because there are no lines for evil, just like 80 years ago. And if someone tries to draw temporary lines, it will only give a pause before a new war... Hitler crossed line after line, and Putin is doing the same today,” Zelensky said.

He expressed confidence that Ukraine will be able to win the war, because it believes in its victory, just like the Allied forces did during World War II.

“Can we win this battle? Absolutely yes. We can. Ukraine, Ukraine, and therefore Europe. Europe, and therefore France. I am sure of this, as is France. France believed in freedom before D-Day, but that landing day, like the day of European victory, was inevitable,” said the Ukrainian president.

On June 6, Zelensky and his wife arrived in Paris at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. During the visit, the Ukrainian president took part in events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the landing of Allied troops in Normandy during World War II.
