Putin Gets Nervous Over Fighting In Kursk Region

The Kremlin chief has urgently appointed a person responsible for the situation.

Putin has called an unscheduled meeting of the Security Council of the Russian Federation because of the fighting and the AFU offensive in Kursk region.

"The AFU military attack in Kursk region is a "large-scale provocation," Putin said before the start of the meeting with members of the Russian government.

Putin added that he would hold a meeting with the heads of security agencies after the meeting with the government.

"As a result of my conversation with the acting governor of Kursk Region, instructions have been given to a number of civilian agencies to provide the necessary assistance to the residents of the region. I also ask the government to deal with this without delay," Putin added.

He appointed First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov as the person responsible for this issue.
