A MiG-31 fighter jet has crashed in Russia's Lipetsk region.
The crew allegedly acted according to instructions because landing was impossible, a Russian blogger linked to the occupying country's air force, Fighterbomber, said. His words are quoted by UNIAN .
According to him, the MiG-31's left main landing gear strut failed. The crew tried to release it by all available means, but failed.
"Landing with one unreleased main strut is prohibited. The crew took the airplane to the ejection zone according to the instructions and ejected safely. Of course, he received injuries and is now in the hospital," Fighterbomber said, avoiding details about the extent of his injuries.
The blogger claims that the media allegedly "threw special effects" around the plane crash event.
