Nobel Peace Prize 2025 Winner Dedicated It To The People Of Venezuela And Trump

Corina Machado stated that the award was a surprise to her.

Winner of the Nobel Peace Prize 2025, Venezuelan democracy leader Maria Corina Machado dedicated it to the people of her country and American President Donald Trump. She wrote in an October 10 X.

"I dedicate this award to the suffering people of Venezuela and to President Trump for his strong support for our cause," the Venezuelan oppositionist wrote.

She noted that today the people of Venezuela "are on the threshold of victory" and, more than ever, count on the United States, Trump, the people of Latin America and the democracies of the world as "the main allies in achieving freedom and democracy."

In an interview with the Nobel Committee, Corina Machado said that the awarding of the prize was unexpected for her (audio published in X Prize).

"I still can't believe it [...] I'm just part of a big movement. I am grateful and proud not only for this recognition, but also for being part of what is happening in Venezuela today," she emphasized." she stressed.
