Poland To Provide More Starlink Terminals To Support Ukraine

This step is very important for the successful holding of the front.

Poland is increasing the number of Starlink terminals to ensure stable communication at the front. This step is important for strengthening the defence capability of Ukraine.

This is reported by Puls Biznesu.

Poland will soon increase the number of Starlink terminals provided to Ukraine to ensure communication in war conditions.

Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Technology Krzysztof Gawkowski stresses that this service is critical for strengthening Ukraine's defence capability.

By the end of 2024, Poland has handed over to Ukraine 24,400 Starlink terminals by Elon Musk's SpaceX. In November 2024, a new batch of terminals was ordered and they are gradually arriving in Ukraine.

Poland is lending the terminals, an approach that avoids tax and legal complications. The terminals provide important communications for the Ukrainian army at the front. The quantity varies according to the needs and some of the terminals were destroyed during the fighting.

‘Poland supplies internet to Ukrainian society and the army. Thanks to Starlink, Ukraine is successfully holding the front,’ said Gawkowski.

Polish support is of particular importance: devices provided by Poland account for half of all operating Starlink terminals in Ukraine.

The cost of maintenance and purchase of new terminals by Poland amounted to 120.66 million PLN in 2024, and it is planned to spend 186.8 million PLN in 2025.

We remind you that earlier the media reported that the USA allegedly warned Ukraine about possible disconnection of Starlink in case it refuses the agreement on fossil fuels. Poland has already reacted to these rumours, saying that it was their country that concluded the agreement, which casts doubt on its possible cancellation.
