The legendary musician shared some memories.

Former Beatle Paul McCartney said he remembers his own birth, according to People.

The 84-year-old musician remembers Walton Hospital in Liverpool, where he was born, the white tiles on the walls, and the gleam of the metal medical instruments. The musician also recalled the distinctive clinking sound that may have accompanied his birth via forceps.

“I feel as if I remember being born,” McCartney admitted. However, he immediately clarified that he isn’t sure of the accuracy of these memories and admits that he may have made them up over time.

“I remember white, very sterile tiles, chrome instruments, and a ringing sound. I was pulled out with forceps,” the musician said. Pauler noted that she, too, was born with the use of forceps.

The memories came back after the musician’s daughter, designer Stella McCartney, asked her father to share his earliest memory.

Paul McCartney is the father of five children. He raised three of them with his first wife, Linda McCartney, and his youngest daughter, Beatrice, was born during his marriage to Heather Mills. The musician has previously said that his adult children now give him advice.
