U.K. Defense Minister: Supporting Ukraine Is A Huge Opportunity For The U.S.

Kyiv could make a huge contribution to strengthening Washington's power.

British Defense Minister Wes Stritting stated that the U.S. should view its support for Ukraine “as a tremendous opportunity.”

He made these remarks during an event in Washington, according to Sky News.

In particular, according to Stritting, Ukraine can “make a huge contribution to strengthening U.S. power” thanks to its rapidly developing defense-industrial complex.

At the same time, he acknowledged the existence of “certain challenges that have arisen in recent days.”

“Today, the front line in the fight for freedom runs through Ukraine… The Ukrainian people are defending a principle that lies at the heart of the best traditions of the American political system—a principle that gave rise to the United States and that we have defended together,” the British minister noted.
