The city was hit by the largest-scale drone attack.
On the night of October 18 St. Petersburg came under a massive attack by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Among the targets hit by Ukrainian drones was an Ozon warehouse in the Kolpinsky District, according to OSINT analyst ASTRA.
The logistics center on Sofiyskaya Street is one of Ozon’s busiest fulfillment centers in the Northwestern region, with an area of up to 79,000 square meters. It handles the storage, sorting, and processing of goods, as well as their subsequent shipment to pickup points and customers.

Information about the strike on the facility has also been confirmed by the anonymous Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova+.

According to Russian media reports, the center’s employees were not injured because they had been evacuated in advance.
In addition to Ozon , the “Ruchyi” oil depot —St. Petersburg’s largest fuel terminal with a total capacity of 73,900 m³—continues to burn in the city. It is used for the long-term storage and shipment of AI-92, AI-95, and diesel fuel.
The governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov confirmed a “fire” on the grounds of the “St. Petersburg Oil Terminal”:

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported two people injured in a fire in the Moskovsky District of St. Petersburg, which began at 4:09 a.m., but did not specify the cause of the fire.
ASTRA also reports that (a UAV struck a cable-stayed metal highway bridge https://charter97.org/ru/news/2026/10/18/702270/) over the Korabelnaya Fairway, which is located 4.5 km from the oil terminal. It is part of the southern flyover of the Western High-Speed Diameter (ZSD), a toll highway connecting the southern and northern parts of the city. The bridge connects the Kirovsky and Vasileostrovsky districts, or Beliy and Vasilyevsky Islands.
It is 622 meters long and 39 meters wide (8 lanes). The extent of the damage is still being assessed.
According to OSINT analysts, in addition to attacks on the oil and fuel distribution center and the VKontakte data center, the 330-kV “Vostochnaya” substation in St. Petersburg was also attacked. As a result of the attack on this facility, widespread power outages are being observed in parts of the Leningrad Region and in St. Petersburg itself.
The governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenco reported that 144 drones were shot down over the region.
According to him, emergency power outages were recorded following the strikes.
“At this time, two transformer substations in Yanino remain offline; 50 apartment buildings, affecting about 20,000 people, are in the power outage zone,” he wrote.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that it had destroyed more than 1,000 Ukrainian drones in various regions of the country.

Local residents say the first explosions occurred around 2:00 a.m. Debris from the drones crashed into an apartment building in Vsevolozhsk and a private home in Kirovsk, and also damaged power lines in several areas—causing power outages in the region.
Operations at Pulkovo Airport were also restricted; during the attack, passengers and staff had to take shelter in safe areas.
Exilenova+ also reports on a fire near military unit 17646-F, close to the village of Kaporskoye in the Leningrad Region.
