The commander of the "Center" military group Andriy Biletsky hinted at significant successes by Ukrainian Armed Forces units, comparable to the results of Operation “Vivaldi”, during which 16 settlements and a total of 277 km² of territory were liberated. The brigadier general made this statement at a press conference of the commanders of the 3rd Army Corps.
“I’ll give you a spoiler: in the near future, Ukraine will achieve results on par with ‘Vivaldi.’ This will happen within a month to a month and a half,” the officer promised.
According to Biletsky, the Ukrainian offensive could continue, but only if a strategic force grouping—not just the 3rd Army Corps—is concentrated in a specific direction. As an example, the general cited the Ocheretine sector, where a large-scale offensive is more than possible.
During Operation “Vivaldi,” the Russian Federation’s army lost at least 8,000 soldiers and 3,800 pieces of equipment. The exchange pool was replenished with 270 personnel, including a battalion chief of staff and 19 other officers.
“The Ukrainian Army can launch an offensive against a numerically superior enemy. Our total losses are seven times lower than those of the Russians,” Biletsky emphasized.
