The Americans had been sending signals about December.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that an energy truce or an agreement on a trilateral meeting of leaders could serve as a signal of Russia’s readiness for peace. He stated this in an interview with TSN.
“An energy truce as a first step. I believe this is a signal,” Zelenskyy said.
According to him, another such signal from the Kremlin could be an agreement on a meeting between the leaders of the three countries.
“I believe it could take place. You may recall that the Americans were sending signals regarding December, regarding the G20 summit in Miami, Florida. They received a response from us through various channels, both public and private. We’re ready if the Russians are ready,” the president stated.
Earlier it was reported that, according to the Russian dictator’s aide Yuri Ushakov, the possibility of Vladimir Putin attending the December “Group of Twenty” summit in Miami would depend on the outcome of the meeting between the leaders of China, Russia, and the U.S. at the APEC summit.
