The Netherlands Will Provide Ukraine With 1.2 Billion Euros

Part of the aid will be used for urgent repairs to energy infrastructure.

The Dutch government announced that it will provide Ukraine with 1.2 billion euros ($1.3 billion) in non-military aid over the next three years. The decision was made a few hours before Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to The Hague, according to Reuters.

The Dutch government has pledged to allocate 380 million euros to aid Ukraine’s reconstruction next year, as well as approximately 410 million euros each in 2028 and 2029.

Part of the funds will go to funds supported by Dutch companies that are ready to invest in Ukraine’s reconstruction.

The remainder of the aid is earmarked for urgent repairs to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and the supply of equipment for Ukrainian industry.

The agency noted that Zelenskyy will arrive in the Netherlands on Wednesday afternoon. He will meet with Prime Minister Rob Jetten and other members of the government, after which he will visit King Willem-Alexander.
