General Staff Of The Armed Forces Of Ukraine: The Russian Armed Forces Have Broken Their Own Negative Record

Over the past 24 hours, the occupying forces lost 2,500 soldiers.

Over the course of November 1, the Russian Federation’s army lost 2,500 soldiers on the front lines in Ukraine. This is the highest daily casualty figure for the enemy since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to estimates by the Ukrainian military command, the Defense Forces neutralized 2,500 Russian invaders over the course of the day. Thus, on average, the Russian army lost one soldier every 35 seconds. Per hour, this figure exceeded 100 people.

The previous record for daily casualties was set quite recently—on October 21, 2026. On that day, the Russian army lost 2,250 soldiers.

Prior to that, for nearly two years, the highest daily figure had been the losses on December 19, 2024, when Russian troops lost 2,200 men.

Russia’s Casualties in October

October 2026 also set a record for the Russian army in terms of the number of casualties since the start of the full-scale war. According to the General Staff, Russia lost 54,400 military personnel killed and wounded that month.

For comparison, this roughly corresponds to the population of the Russian city of Vorkuta, which has about 55,000 residents.

Consequently, in just one month, the Russian army’s losses in terms of personnel were comparable to the population of an entire city. And on the very first day of November, the enemy set a new daily record for losses.

It should be noted that October was a month of significant successes for Ukrainian defenders on several fronts. The defense forces not only recaptured more territory than the Russian army was able to seize but also inflicted record losses on the enemy.
