The Russian "Shahed" Woke Up The Residents Of Gomel

Residents of the city complained about a loud rumbling noise.

Residents of Gomel were kept awake on the night of November 3 by the hum of a drone flying over the city. According to eyewitness reports, a “Shahed”-type drone flew over the Sovetsky District and the southern outskirts of the city around midnight, as noted by the website Charter97.org.

Around 1 a.m., a loud rumble startled Gomel residents. Residents of the Sovetsky District shared alarming posts en masse on social media. Many admitted that the sound was so loud it felt as if the drone were flying right outside their window. People wrote that they experienced genuine fear and took a long time to recover.

“It was scary. It felt like it was right outside the window—it was that loud,” wrote one social media user.
