The wife of OpenAI co-founder Anna Brockman has emerged as one of the most influential figures among Republican Party donors and in the field of artificial intelligence in the United States. Together with her husband Greg Brockman, she has a net worth of nearly $30 billion. In the current election cycle, the couple ranked among the nation’s 16 largest political donors, contributing tens of millions of dollars to organizations linked to U.S. President Donald Trump and the advancement of AI, according to Vanity Fair.

Last year, the couple donated $25 million to the MAGA Inc. committee and another $25 million to Leading the Future, an organization that supports the development of artificial intelligence. Greg himself referred to them as “donors interested in only one topic”—AI. The couple strives to support politicians who advocate for the development of this technology and oppose excessive government regulation.

At the same time, Anna does more than just accompany her husband to political events. Sources in the tech industry describe her as an independent decision-maker within the family and at OpenAI. “She’s not just Greg’s silent sidekick. She’s an influential figure,” one of the publication’s sources said.

Before her marriage, Anna Chang worked at Dropbox and the venture capital firm Basis Set Ventures, and was also involved in social projects. Her interest in AI stems largely from her personal experience seeking medical care.

The couple also has close ties to the Trump administration. In October, they attended a private dinner at Mar-a-Lago alongside the president and Google co-founder Sergey Brin.

However, following criticism of OpenAI’s political financing, the couple withdrew another planned $25 million donation to the organization Leading the Future. Greg explained that the committee’s activities had begun to distract from the company’s work.
