Ukraine And The Netherlands Agree To Expand Joint Arms Production

The countries intend to expand drone production capacity.

Ukraine and the Netherlands are expanding joint production of weapons. This was announced during a press conference on Sunday, March 8, by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Dutch Prime Minister Rob Yetten.

According to Zelensky, the issue of arms production is stipulated by a joint statement that Ukraine and the Netherlands adopted on March 8.

"It is important that together with the Netherlands we produce weapons. We have started this and we will definitely continue this joint work. We will increase this. In particular, this is provided for in the joint statement that we adopted today between our states. And we discussed it at the meeting: investments, possible licenses, production volumes," Zelensky said.

In particular, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands noted that the countries intend to expand drone production capacity.

"We want to do it together, that is, both with companies in the Netherlands and with companies in Ukraine. So that we can increase production in both our countries. So that we can provide a front and increase production for Europe as a whole," said Yeaten.

February 23, the new Dutch government officially began its work under the leadership of 38-year-old Rob Yeaten, who became the youngest prime minister in the country's history.

The new Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen and new Defense Minister Dylan Yesilgoz-Zegerius arrived in Ukraine on February 28.
