Yesterday and on the night of May 8, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of important facilities of the Russian occupants. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In particular, the Yaroslavsky oil refinery in the Yaroslavl region was hit, on the territory of which a fire was recorded. The extent of the damage is being specified.
The General Staff notes that this refinery is a strategically important enterprise and one of the key facilities of the Russian oil refining industry. "The refining capacity is about 15 million tons of oil per year. The refinery's products include gasoline, diesel and jet fuel and are critical for the enemy army's logistics," the report says.
The report also says of an attack on a UAV storage warehouse in Rostov-on-Don (Rostov Region, Russian Federation) with a subsequent fire.
The Luganskaya oil depot was also hit, among other things. Among other things, a strike was made on the enemy anti-aircraft missile system "Tor-M2" in the area of Mikhailovka, Zaporozhye region, and radar station "Kasta-2E" in the area of Mysovoye in the TVT of Crimea.

The General Staff notes that this enterprise is one of Russia's largest producers of explosives. "The enterprise equips almost all types of ammunition - aviation and artillery shells, combat parts of anti-tank guided missiles, ammunition for engineering troops, etc. Among other things, the plant completes high-explosive bombs (FAB), which the enemy then uses to create guided aerial bombs (GAB)," the report says.
It was also confirmed that on April 25, 2026, the buildings on the territory of the arsenal GRAU (Main Rocket Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation) "Kedrovka" in the village of Kedrovka, Sverdlovsk region of the Russian Federation were hit.
In addition, the infrastructure of an explosives production facility in the town of Seltso (Bryansk region, RF) - the Bryansk Chemical Plant - was confirmed to be hit in May 2026. It is an important component of the military-industrial complex of the aggressor country and one of the links in the supply of ammunition to the Russian occupation army.
