Russians Are Panicking Over A New Development By The Ukrainian Armed Forces

The bomb is specifically designed to destroy fortified targets and penetrate cover.

Russian pro-war social media pages are reporting that Ukrainian units have acquired a new type of bomb that is dropped from drones. A key feature of this weapon is its delayed detonation and the explosive device’s high penetration capability.

Experts are convinced that Russian pro-war social media accounts and bloggers are speculating that such munitions are capable of penetrate various types of cover—nets, metal cages, and fortifications. This is reported by Forbes.

The publication notes that the new Ukrainian shell is square in shape with a metal tip resembling a post for installing a fence. It bears the inscription “F***ing Punisher” on a red-and-black sticker background.

It is claimed that this is a penetrating munition with a delayed detonation. According to the author of the publication, this has already caused concern among Russian military bloggers.

“In their view, the new weapon calls into question the effectiveness of existing shelters and defensive structures. The widespread use of FPV drones and unmanned bomber drones has forced Russian troops to take cover in dugouts, and to shield roads and key facilities with nets, metal cages, and other protective structures. However, a few weeks ago, reports began to emerge from Russian sources about a new Ukrainian munition capable of penetrating such obstacles,” the article states.

New photographs, as journalists report, indicate that this type of munition may already be in mass production. A video showing its use has also been published.

“Ukraine uses various types of heavy unmanned aerial vehicle bombers. The Russians often refer to all such aircraft by the general term ‘Baba Yaga.’ Typically, such drones drop modified mortar shells, anti-tank mines, or other adapted munitions. But the new bomb is specifically designed to strike fortified targets and penetrate cover,” notes the author of the article David Hambling.
