Lieutenant General Andrus Merilo, Commander-in-Chief of the Estonian Defense Forces, visited military command centers and units carrying out combat missions on the front lines.

This was reported by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, who accompanied Merilo.

Syrsky reported that he and Merilo familiarized themselves with the current situation, the work of the units, and the challenges facing the Ukrainian military.

In particular, they held discussions with the leadership of the Airborne Assault Forces and the commanders of the airborne assault brigades, as well as a meeting with the command of the Unmanned Systems Forces and the commanders of the assault regiments.

“It is extremely important for our partners to see the real situation on the front lines, understand the needs of Ukrainian soldiers, and verify the effectiveness of the assistance provided directly on the ground,” he emphasized.
