U.S. President Donald Trump has officially confirmed that he signed a memorandum of understanding with Iran.
This was reported by Fox News citing a post on the White House’s X page.
“It’s signed,” Trump told reporters as he left the Palace of Versailles after dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron.
In a comment to Fox News, a White House spokesperson said that a photo of the signed agreement had been sent to Iran and the mediating countries so that the document could officially enter into force.
Later, the White House posted footage on its X page showing Trump signing the deal. The document was signed at the Palace of Versailles in the presence of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and French President Emmanuel Macron, among others. The signing was met with applause.
