This is the second blow in recent times.
Today, June 23, a missile attack was reported in Russia’s Belgorod Region—a chalk plant may have been hit.
This was reported by the Telegram channel Astra.
According to sources, the strike targeted the Alekseevsky Chalk Plant—one of the largest industrial enterprises in the region.
The plant specializes in the extraction and processing of chalk for the construction, chemical, and other industries.

According to preliminary reports, the plant sustained critical damage and has been virtually destroyed.
Eyewitnesses are sharing images of the aftermath of the attack online.
“The plant building was practically destroyed during the strike,” reads the caption accompanying the photo.

Ukraine has not officially confirmed carrying out the strike. Russian authorities have also not yet issued any comments.
It is worth noting that this is not the first attack on the facility—earlier, in June, the plant was already targeted by drones.
