Ukrainian Armed Forces Officer: Lukashenko Has Become A Laughingstock
Alexey Getman

That's the end of his career.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reiterated his ultimatum to Lukashenko and stated that the Belarusian dictator must remove the relay stations for Russian drones, or else the Ukrainians will do it themselves.

Why is Kyiv taking such a hard line with the Belarusian dictator right now, four years into the war?

The website Charter97.org discussed this with military expert and reserve major of the Ukrainian National Guard Oleksiy Getman:
— The tough ultimatum is because Russian relay stations have been installed. They simply didn’t exist four years ago. These relay stations help control the Russian missiles and drones that are attacking us.

Why is Zelenskyy speaking so confidently about this? It seems like an attack on a country that isn’t directly participating in the war, as Russia or North Korea are. But that’s not the case.

The fact is that there is United Nations General Assembly Resolution 3314, dating back to 1974, which defines what constitutes aggression. There is Article 50 of the United Nations Charter, as well as international law and even humanitarian law, which spell out the rules and traditions of warfare.
These are the targets that carry out or help to intensify aggression against a country. In this context, a country under attack has the right to carry out strikes against military and even industrial targets on the territory of any country, regardless of their location, if aggression against our country is originating from there.

Our targets on the territory of Belarus, the North Pole, and Antarctica, from which aggression is directed against our country, are legitimate targets. It is unlikely that Belarus’s air defense is better than Moscow’s. Missiles are already reaching Moscow, Tuapse, and Crimea; reaching Belarus would be much faster and easier.

Perhaps this is precisely why Lukashenko and Putin need to meet and discuss the terms of their actions following a second warning. Let me emphasize: this is not a threat, but a warning from Lukashenko, essentially saying, “Remove them voluntarily.”

— How can Ukraine disable these repeaters?

— Very simply: by launching a missile and drone strike. The distances are short. By the way, think about Lukashenko’s statement that “an attack is being prepared against Belarus from four sides.” In fact, the worst thing that can happen to a politician is to become a laughingstock. When he becomes a laughingstock, it’s practically the end of his political career.

So, an attack from four sides: Lithuania to the north, Poland to the west, Ukraine to the south, and Russia to the east. Did he mean that the combined forces of Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, and Russia are planning to attack Belarus? Did he eat something bad or something?
