Lukashenko Fears An Assassination Attempt In Grodno

How the dictator's entourage sees a "festive atmosphere".

In the evening of June 5, the governor took part in the opening ceremony of the XV Republican Festival of National Cultures in Hrodna. On this occasion, the telegram channel "Pool of the First" published a photo with the text "The evening - in a festive atmosphere."

The photo shows a deserted site drenched in rain and Alexander Lukashenko on the stage. The spectators have been pushed far away.

At such events ordinary citizens have not been allowed to attend for a long time, but are selected for the masses among the loyal supporters of the authorities. But apparently, Lukashenko is so much concerned about security issues that the ruler does not risk approaching even such a crowd.

It was quite different at the beginning of his presidency. The photo shows the Dazhynki festival in 1996.

The situation has changed dramatically since then. Lukashenko's behavior demonstrates that he understands how unpopular he is with the people today.
