The occupiers were forced to restrict traffic on an important highway in the Luhansk region.

Moscow-appointed authorities of the occupied Luhansk region have restricted civilian traffic on the R-280 "Novorossiya" highway and a section of the R-150 road, writes "Crimea Realities" with reference to the decree of the "head" of the "LNR" Leonid Pasechnik. Since June 6, both regular and irregular passenger transportation on the sections of the routes R-150 Belgorod - Starobelsk - Lugansk - Donetsk - Mariupol and R-280 "Novorossiya" Rostov-on-Don - Mariupol - Melitopol - Simferopol have been banned. The restrictions were imposed "due to the armed aggression of the AFU" and will remain in effect until "special order".

The transportation of organized groups of children by car through the territory of the "LNR" is also prohibited. An exception is made for events organized by the Ministry of Education of the region. In addition, the movement of all suburban trains is suspended; exceptions will be established by the "Ministry of Transport" of the "LNR". The authorities did not prohibit internal bus service, but allowed adjustments to part of the routes and urged people to avoid traveling on the highway R-150 and "Novorossiya", which is considered a "land bridge" from the Russian Federation to Crimea with a length of more than 630 km. Earlier, the occupation authorities of the occupied part of the Kherson region announced about the restriction of traffic on the section of this highway.

The decree of the "governor" Vladimir Saldo was about the prohibition for trucks to move along the section from 463 to 494 km of the highway R-280. An exception was made for military cargoes, medicines and fuel, equipment "for the restoration of infrastructure," as well as some food and essential goods.

In recent weeks, authorities, local residents and Z-bloggers have regularly reported Ukrainian miiddle-strike drones strikes on military cargoes traveling along the land route to Crimea. As a result, an acute fuel crisis has emerged on the peninsula and the rest of the occupied territories, and food shortages in stores have begun to develop.
