Lukashenko Brings Belarus Back To The Industrial Era

While the world is going through post-industrialization.

While the whole world is experiencing post-industrialization, when the labor force flows from industry to services, the opposite process is observed in Belarus. In recent years, the share of those employed in industry has been growing in the country, but falling - in IT, notes the site "Belarusians and the market".

Official data of the National Statistical Committee show that 24.2% of Belarusian workers will be employed in the industrial sector in 2025. This is 0.4 percentage points more than in 2022 and 0.9 more than in 2018.

So industry is still the leading employment sector in Belarus.

At the same time, the number of employed in the information and communication sector is decreasing. If in 2022 it accounted for 3.3% of Belarusian workers, now it accounts for only 2.9%.

Agriculture has also decreased, which three years ago accumulated 8.6% of workers, and now it is 7.8%. The difference exceeds a whole percent, which is quite a lot for such a short period of time.

The category of "other activities," which are not included in the largest sectors of the economy, has grown noticeably - up to 28.3%.
