On the night of July 11, Russian occupiers attacked Kyiv, injuring eight people, including an 11-year-old boy. This was reported by the capital’s mayor Vitali Klitschko, according to unian.net.

“Eight people were injured as a result of an enemy attack on Kyiv. Among the injured is an 11-year-old boy. Four of the injured are being treated at city hospitals. The rest received medical attention on the spot,” he noted.

According to Klitschko, a projectile struck the roadway in the Darnytskyi district. An electrical substation controlling the traffic lights is also on fire. In addition, windows were shattered in neighboring buildings.

Meanwhile, a fire broke out on the grounds of an uninhabited building complex in the Dniprovskyi district.

For its part, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported that 10 people were injured as a result of the attack.

According to rescue workers, a fire broke out in the Solomenskyi district after a strike hit a three-story office and warehouse building. The fire has now been extinguished. At another location, a locomotive was damaged by the blast wave.

“Darnitskyi District: After a strike on the roadway, a fire broke out in the electrical control room that regulates the traffic lights. The fire has been extinguished. Windows were shattered in nearby residential buildings. Dniprovskyi District: A fire broke out in a warehouse as a result of a strike,” the State Emergency Service clarified.

Earlier, the UN stated that Russia’s attacks in recent months have resulted in the highest number of civilian casualties since 2022. The organization emphasized that preliminary data for June indicate an even higher death toll—at least 265 people were killed and 1,816 were wounded.
