Ukrainian Drones Closed The Kerch Strait To Russian Ships

After a series of attacks, the movement of Russian ships effectively came to a halt.

The passage of Russian ships through the Kerch Strait has effectively come to a halt due to attacks by Ukrainian drones.

Russian ships are reluctant to pass through the Kerch Strait following a series of successful attacks by Ukrainian drones. OSINT researcher Auonsson analyzed satellite images on his X account, which confirm that Russian ships have effectively stopped moving along the aforementioned sea route. Before Ukraine launched its strikes in the waters of the Sea of Azov north of the Kerch Strait, up to a hundred vessels were recorded waiting to pass through. After the attacks began on July 6–7, the number of vessels dropped to 42; by July 8, it had fallen to 28; and as of now, there are only three.

The analyst adds that, in addition to tankers, drones are also attacking tugboats and even bulk carriers.
