Putin has failed to break the Ukrainian people.
In 2026, Ukraine’s position on the front lines is stronger than in any other year. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement on July 13 at a press conference in Paris, according to New Voice.
“Throughout all these years of full-scale war, Putin has been trying to break us—every single one of us—to break Ukraine, to break the motivation and spirit of Ukrainians, to break the spirit of our people. The front lines won’t let him do that. And this year, our positions—Ukraine’s positions on the front lines—are stronger than in any other year of the war. Emmanuel [Macron—ed.] is absolutely right. We must identify precisely those things that, under current conditions on the front lines, can support us and allow us to put pressure on Russia,” said the Ukrainian head of state.
In addition, President Zelenskyy noted that ballistic missiles are the last resort of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, which he is using in every way possible to prolong Russia’s war against Ukraine.
“Putin has tried many different methods: exerting pressure, killing, and destroying. And for him, ballistic missiles are a weapon that is objectively difficult for us to counter. Very difficult,” said the Ukrainian head of state.
As President Zelenskyy noted, at present, it is difficult for Ukraine to shoot down enemy ballistic missiles due to a shortage of interceptor missiles—which is precisely why a new program to develop mass-produced anti-missile weapons, codenamed Freyja, was launched.
