Authorities Have Begun Military Exercises On The Border With Poland

They will last a week.

On July 23, military exercises began in Bolshaya Berestovitsa in the Grodno Region; authorities plan to close off access roads to the district center, the district executive committee reported, citing local police.

These scheduled exercises are taking place from July 23 to 30; military vehicles may be moving through Bolshaya Berestovitsa, and there may be restrictions on vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

“On the morning of July 30, two entrances to the town from the direction of the gas station will be closed. We ask residents and visitors to the town to be understanding of these temporary inconveniences and to plan their routes in advance,” the authorities’ statement reads.

It should be noted that the “Berestovitsa–Bobrovniki” border crossing is located in the Berestovitsa District, which borders Poland.

Earlier, the website Charter97.org reported that Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski assessed the threat of a Russian attack on his country.
