Zelenskyy promises to exert strong economic pressure on Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that shipping traffic through the Russian port of Novorossiysk has effectively come to a halt. He made this announcement in an evening address following a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s headquarters on August 28. There have also been reports from our military regarding Novorossiysk: we are already achieving our objective, as not a single vessel is entering or leaving the port of Novorossiysk. And every day like this with no activity in Novorossiysk contributes to the reduction of Russia’s military potential. We will definitely find ways to block their other ports as well. “We did not start this war, and we are responding to Russian actions quite justifiably,” Zelenskyy noted.

The Ukrainian head of state also cited data from Oleg Ivashchenko , head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense . According to information cited by Zelenskyy, internal Russian documents indicate an 80% decline in certain export categories in August alone.
