For The First Time In NATO History, Polish Special Forces Completed A "Ukrainian" Survival Training Course

In Germany, Polish special forces were the first among NATO allies to complete a training program developed based on the combat experience of the Ukrainian military in its conflict with Russia. The exercise scenario involves covertly advancing through enemy lines and neutralizing a target using a drone. This was reported by Associated Press.
The program was developed by U.S. “Green Berets”—originally for their own units—based on the real challenges faced by Ukrainian troops in battles against Russia. The exercises began on Friday at the training range near Hohenfels, Germany; this base has been used for such training for three years now, but previously only American teams participated.
The exercise takes place over an area of 1,100 square miles and is scheduled to last several days. First, the Polish special forces must stealthily bypass an American airborne infantry unit, which is simulating the enemy and establishing a simulated front line.
Next, the team must traverse about 60 miles of German countryside—passing farms, villages, private and government surveillance cameras, and even the city of Amberg (population 40,000)—to reach another training range near Grafenwöhr and destroy the simulated target.
During the march, the Polish soldiers take off their military uniforms and change into civilian clothes to avoid attracting attention. Most local residents in Germany are unaware that the exercises are taking place, which turns the operation into a real-world test of the special forces’ ability to “blend in” unnoticed among the civilian population.
If anyone from the group is spotted and reported to the police, this information will reach the military, who will use it to pinpoint the team’s location.
In addition, U.S. troops are simultaneously searching for the Polish special forces using their own drones—in previous iterations of the exercise, they had more than a hundred drones at their disposal. If the group is detected, additional forces are deployed: military police with dogs or new drones. Under the terms of the scenario, participants can be conditionally “captured” or “eliminated.”
