Kasparov Issued A Warning Following The CIA Director's Visit To Moscow

The risk of escalation has risen sharply.

One of the leaders of the Russian opposition, world chess champion Garry Kasparov, suggested that pro-Russian politicians could come to power as a result of the elections in Europe, and the visit by CIA Director John Ratcliffe — is a signal that Putin is preparing for an escalation.

“We can wait to see what comes of Ratcliffe’s visit, but I wouldn’t harbor any illusions about it, because Ratcliffe does, after all, work for the administration of Donald Trump. The fact that Trump is acting against America’s interests is obvious today,” Garry Kasparov stated confidently.

The politician shared his views on how Russia might attempt to take over Europe without launching an attack in an interview with YouTube channel “Forum of Free Russia.” Kasparov agreed with the suggestion that the risk of escalation had risen sharply with the CIA director’s visit to Moscow:

“Yes, of course. It’s obvious. Everything is heading in that direction. We’re analyzing the information that’s freely available. Yes, we’ve already said several times that there were some fluctuations in May. Presumably, there was an internal struggle over whether to go all the way or to seek some kind of compromise after all. It’s clear that this hesitation is over. All the actions of the Russian government and its so-called diplomatic initiatives indicate that some form of escalation is inevitable.”

“Political pressure is constant; that is, by 2027, the political map of Europe may change because parties friendly to the Kremlin—largely thanks to the policies of the predecessors of the current governments—such as “Alternative for Germany,” are gaining ground. An escalation this fall should help the “AfD” party in Germany, Le Pen in France, and all pro-Putin forces in Europe—that is, wherever there are hotbeds of political instability. “Those who are striving for power, by some strange coincidence, always talk about the need to find common ground with Putin’s Russia,” the Russian opposition figure predicted.
