Russia attacked Ukrainian cities with a missile and 121 drones.

As a result of Russian shelling, new power outages occurred in six regions of Ukraine. Settlements in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Mykolaiv regions were left without power—as reported on Monday, August 31, by "Deutsche Welle".

The company noted that emergency repair work is already underway wherever safety conditions permit. Power company workers are doing everything possible to restore service as quickly as possible.

Kherson: Two Dead, Four Wounded

On the morning of August 31, a Russian drone attacked a medical facility in downtown Kherson—two employees were injured, according to the Kherson City Military Administration. The injured were hospitalized. On the same day, two more local residents were killed in the center of Kherson as a result of Russian strikes, according to the head of the city’s military administration, Yaroslav Shanko.

In addition, a 33-year-old man was taken to the hospital after suffering an explosive injury from a drone attack in the Korabelny district. An 84-year-old man, wounded by a Russian drone strike in the Dniprovskyi district, also sought medical attention.

Casualties in Kryvyi Rih and the Kyiv region

In Kryvyi Rih, a Russian Shahed-type jet drone struck an industrial facility, according to the head of the city’s military administration, Oleksandr Vilkul. “A rescue operation is underway. The fire has already been contained,” he wrote on Telegram, adding that two men were injured in the attack.

Four more people were injured in Russian strikes in the Kyiv region, according to the head of the regional administration, Timur Tkachenko. “Two men sustained shrapnel wounds to their limbs. They were hospitalized at a local hospital, where medical staff are providing all necessary care. Two more people were injured in the Brovary district. Medical assistance is being provided,” he noted. According to Tkachenko, storage facilities and a retail establishment were damaged in the Brovary district, while three warehouses and an apartment building were damaged in the Boryspil district.

There are fatalities and injuries in Slavyansk

In Slavyansk, Donetsk Oblast, a FAB-500 aerial bomb struck a high-rise residential building—four people aged 61 to 66 were injured, the Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor’s Office reported. The attack also damaged 34 apartment buildings and private homes, as well as 6 vehicles. A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the incident on suspicion of a war crime.

Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported that two people were killed in the village of Bilbasivka, Slavyansk community, as a result of a Russian airstrike. One of the victims was a child; another person was injured, according to the agency’s Telegram post.

Ukrainian Armed Forces: Russia attacked Ukraine with a missile and 121 drones

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, on the night of August 31, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with one X-59 guided air-to-ground missile, as well as 121 drones of the Shahed, “Gerbera,” and “Parody” decoy drones. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down and neutralized 96 drones, while the X-59 missile failed to reach its target. Hits were recorded at 11 locations, and debris from the downed drones was found at 8 sites, the Ukrainian Armed Forces specified.
