Crimea Is Facing A Fuel Crisis

Gasoline will be sold for four hours a day on the occupied peninsula.

In Russian-occupied Crimea, gasoline will be sold for four hours a day due to insufficient fuel supplies, according to the so-called “head of the republic” Sergey Aksyonov.

“Fuel supplies to the region do not yet fully meet residents’ needs. Unfortunately, some Crimeans will face limited access to gasoline at this stage,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Aksenov announced that the daily fuel allocation will now be distributed at gas stations in two shifts: from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. At 7:00 a.m., up-to-date information on which gas stations have gasoline and diesel fuel will appear on the Ministry of Fuel and Energy’s interactive gas station map.

In addition, fuel supply disruptions have been reported at gas stations in the Tyumen Region, leading to long lines at stations, according to the region’s governor Alexander Moor. “We are continuing negotiations with the management of oil companies to increase fuel supplies to the region,” he noted.
