Ukrainian Special Forces Ambushed Russian Marines

Some of the occupiers surrendered.

Ukrainian special forces soldiers from the 3rd Regiment of the Special Operations Forces (SSO) “Alpha” Group ambushed Russian troops. As a result, two occupiers were killed, and another was seriously wounded and taken prisoner. This was reported by the Special Operations Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Special Operations Forces, Russian troops were attempting to establish a foothold on one sector of the front line in order to regroup and continue their offensive.

Operators from the SHADOW PACK of the 3rd Special Operations Forces Regiment, “Alpha” Group, infiltrated the area, established surveillance, and identified the enemy’s route of movement. Ukrainian troops then set up an ambush.

As a result, two Russian servicemen were killed, and a third, who was seriously wounded, was taken prisoner. According to the Ukrainian military, the captured and killed occupiers were members of the Russian Federation Army’s 145th Marine Battalion. Documents, weapons, and communication equipment were seized from the Russian soldiers. Following the operation, the area came under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and the further advance of Russian troops in this sector was halted.

During the combat mission, Ukrainian special forces were supported by operators of unmanned aerial systems. Specifically, FPV drones and heavy UAVs were used to support the operation.
