A Minsk resident, oleg_grabowski, showed what Nemiga Street looked like in 1948. He colorized the old black-and-white photograph using artificial intelligence.

“Nemiga in 1948. A little over 20 years later, the entire street was irrevocably demolished,” he writes.

It turns out that many Minsk residents didn’t know that the old buildings on Nemiga were demolished in the 1970s to make way for high-rises and a shopping center, which is now almost empty. The website Charter97.org features some comments:
