Ukrainian Special Forces Carried Out A Successful Ambush Against Russian Marines
The area has been brought under control by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Ukrainian special forces soldiers from the 3rd Regiment of the Special Operations Forces (SSO) "Alpha" Group set up an ambush, killing two Russian occupiers and capturing another.
The Special Operations Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on its Facebook.
According to the Special Operations Forces Command, the Russian occupiers were attempting to establish a foothold in one of the operational sectors in order to concentrate their forces and continue offensive operations.
However, SHADOW PACK operators from the 3rd Special Operations Forces Regiment of the “Alpha” Group infiltrated the area, conducted surveillance, identified the enemy’s route of movement, and set up an ambush.
As a result of the ambush, two Russian occupiers were killed, and one, who was seriously wounded, was taken prisoner.
It turned out that this was a group from the 145th Marine Battalion of the Russian Federation Army. The enemy soldiers’ documents, weapons, and communications equipment were seized. The area has been brought under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Further advancement by the Russian occupiers on this section of the front has been prevented. It should be noted that Ukrainian special forces were supported by drone operators while carrying out the above-mentioned combat mission; specifically, they were assisted by FPV drones and heavy UAVs.
