Belarusian “MPs” saw threat in NATO

17

NATO threatens the “union state” by deploying its military bases in cross-border regions under the aegis of counterterrorism, Mikalai Charhinets, head of the commission on international affaires and national security in the “council of the republic” of the “national assembly” of Belarus, said during a TV link-up Brussels-Minsk-Moscow.

“Neither Russian nor Belarus considers any state in the world to be a possible enemy, the USA and the European Union are regarded only as partners by the “union state,”” Mikalai Charhinets said.

“Now we are watching a rearranging of the map of the world that goes against all international agreements, including Tehran Agreement, signed after the WWII.

Unpredictability of actions of certain states evokes our greatest concern. So, for instance, the US just deceived the international community by launching war in Yugoslavia and then in Iraq,” the “MP” reminded.

According to him, NATO also chose a sheer deception, having promised not to go to the East after withdrawal of Soviet troops from Germany. “We see now that NATO has made more than 1000 kilometres towards the “union state,”” M. Charhinets added.

As the “MP” noted, “in spite of all assurances, NATO is preparing a full-scale base area for offensive weapon deployment.” “NATO threatens the “union state” by deploying its military bases in cross-border regions under the aegis of counterterrorism,” Mikalai Charhinets concluded.
