Signature collecting to nominate presidential candidates coming to an end

The strongest opponents of the Belarusian dictator at the upcoming presidential election have been defined.
Initiative group are finishing signature collecting to nominate presidential candidates in Belarus for the election on December 19. The number of signatures collected and results of Internet opinion polls show that, leader of European Belarus civil campaign Andrei Sannikov, leader of Tell the Truth! campaign poet Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu, and deputy chairman of the United Civil Party Yaraslau Ramanchuk are the strongest rivals of Alyaksandr Lukashenka at the forthcoming election.
Initiative groups are to submit signature sheets to district and city electoral commissions by the end of the day. Commissions are to carry out an inspection of accuracy of the signatures within 10 days. Andrei Sannikov’s initiative group is the leader in the number of signatures checked and handed over to electoral commissions.
Not later than November 13, Electoral commissions file reports to the Central Election Commission regarding the number of voters, who put their signatures for presidential aspirants.
Registration of presidential candidates will be held from November 14 to November 23. As the Central Election Commission says, all candidates will most likely be registered on the same day.
