Lukashenka: "There are other possibilities in world except Russia and Europe"

73

The Belarusian dictator has called upon the government to look for other markets, but outside Russia and Europe.

"We have signed serious agreements with the government of Russia, reached large-scale agreements with our strategic ally, but we still cannot recieve transparent and just conditions in the mutual trade. Moreover, our steps for increasing cooperation are accompanied by caustic remarks on their part," Lukashenka said during the consultations summing up the results of the visit of the Belarusian delegation to Venezuela, "Interfax" informs.

"The situation in the relations with the government of the Russian Federation is paradoxical," Lukashenka said. He underlined: "We shouldn't speak about the Russian nation, about Russia in our statements. Russia is too heterogeneous, and the one who throws a stone at a Russian man would be a dishonest person". "The position of the Russian government is a different matter. It is said not to pinprick the Russian government, Putin once again. They would repeat the statement that Lukashenka had "attacked" Putin again. What has an attack on Putin has to do with that? We see how many problems are not solved today because of the biased position of the government of Russia. We do not attack anyone, we are simply starting to reach other niches, other states where we are understood and welcomed," Lukashenka said.

As said by him, "no matter how hard we tried to build equal relations in the union state, the CIS, the EurAsEC have started to develop tendencies of an elder and younger brother". "And we should speak about that openly," Lukashenka said. As said by him, "we have been patiently building and will continue to build relations with our main partner". "But unfortunately, recently not everything is successful," he added. In particular, the head of the state continued, "a half a year or a year ago we saw this dependence on one market, when sugar deliveries were closed for us, and then milk deliveries. We were put in inequal conditions in ecquipment trade. We have gone through all that," Lukashenka said.

In this connection, the leader of Belarus stated, "today as never before we are forced to work actively in any, even most remote part of the world, where we could expect predictable and fair conditions in mutually beneficial trade and economic ties." A. Lukashenka underlined that "there are more possibilities than Russia and Europe, we should reach other regions and states with our goods and projects".

"Naturally, we should diversify our relations in the economy, in the politics and in dimplomacy. That is why neither Russians nor Europeans or others should view our contacts and success in Latin America, Africa, South East Asia as a kind of catastrophe and departing from the positions we are adhering to all the time," the dictator said.
