Belarusian farming machinery is losing RF market

Russian Сoncern “Tractor Plants” (CTP) with the assistance of Rosselkhozbank has offered to agrarians a new credit program for purchases of machinery.

Attractive conditions of the new program will create an insurmountable barrier for Belarusian farming machinery at the Russian market, AFN reports.

“The talk is in practice about the whole enumeration of machinery, necessary for cultivating soil, performing sowing campaigns, and about grain harvesters as well (Agromash-Yenisey)… One can purchase (farming machinery) using the credit line of Rosselkhozbank with the downpayment equal to 10% of the machinery price. Machinery is accepted as a pledge”, - it is said in the press release of CTP.

It is doubtful whether, the program of favourable terms of crediting of Belarusian machinery deliveries to Russia launched last year by Belarussian authorities, subsidized at the expense of Belarusian budget, will be able to compete with the credit conditions announced by Rosselkhozbank and CTP. Belarus managed to involve the largest Russian bank – Sberbank into this program, however this banking institution is not specializing in work with Russian farming organizations – this direction is serviced by Rosselkhozbank (Belarusian analogues – Belarusbank and Belagraprambank).

Besides all, the perspective of losing Russian market by Belarusian producers is strengthening by the offer price of Russian farming machinery producers. Thus, at the beginning of August one of the divisions of CTP – AgromashHolding company offered 60% discount for the broad enumeration of farming machinery.
