Alyaksandr Arastovich freed from KGB jail

Political prisoner Alyaksandr Arastovich has been released from the KGB jail under own recognizance.
The website charter97.org learnt this from his relatives. The activist didn’t write any letters of explanations to the authorities.
Alyaksandr Arastovich, an election agent of presidential candidate Mikalai Statkevich, was arrested after the events of December 19, 2010.
He is charged with organizing and taking part in “mass riot” – this term the Belarusian authorities use to describe a peaceful demonstration of Belarusians against rigging the presidential election results on December 19.
Alyaksandr, suffering from diabetes mellitus, has spent in jail over 50 days.
