National bank sanctioned selling dollars in exchange offices at 4,500 Br

The National Bank of Belarus has eased restrictions for banks in the foreign exchange cash market segment and allowed to sell dollars at 4,500 br.

The decision of the banking regulator not to change anything in the market, adopted in the morning, was valid for half a day only, AFN reports.

At the moment banks are already changing quotations for foreign currency in their exchange offices, and the purchase-and-sale rates of foreign currency are at the level of 4,480-4,500 Br.

Banks’ representatives do not comment on this decision of the regulator in any way. There is no currency in the exchange offices as before.

We remind that the official exchange rate of the National bank for today is 3,120 Br.
